Iranian leaders are claiming the country has started manufacturing their own version of an American unmanned drone.
The drones are believed to be based on a U.S. drone which allegedly malfunctioned and was captured by Iran last December.
In an attempt to prove their claims, the head of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard’s Aerospace Division offered up several pieces of information
One allegation was that the drone’s memory device showed it had flown over Osama Bin Laden’s compound just two weeks before the American raid.
The drone, the RQ-170, is a highly advanced and secretive piece of the American arsenal, and U.S. officials did not want anyone else to get their hands on the technology.
While little official information on the drone exists, it is believed to be a stealth plane complete with high-tech electronics and some of the latest and most unique American innovations.
