PRINCE GEORGE, B.C. – All workers on shift when a sawmill exploded in Prince George have been accounted for, but three are being airlifted to Vancouver in critical condition.

Northern Health Authority spokesman Steve Raper says as many as five more remain in Prince George in critical condition after they were trapped in the mill when the explosion set off a  massive fire.

Raper says 25 people in total were treated for injuries ranging from minor to critical.

The explosion at 9:40 p.m. at the Lakeland Mills sawmill could be felt kilometres away.

Five workers were initially missing, but RCMP Cpl. Craig Douglass says authorities now don’t believe anyone is trapped in the mill.

Brian Croy was working in the mill when it exploded and says the walls collapsed around him before he managed to make it out.
