Warning issued over Compliments brand products

OTTAWA, ON (NEWS1130) – The Canadian Food Inspection Agency has issued a warning for you not to consume certain Compliments brand salads and prepared foods because they may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes.

The salads are a “product of USA.”

The following salads are included in this alert:

  • Compliments Garden Supreme, 340 g, UPC 68820 10627, Best Before – (May 12 to 22, 2012) inclusive.   
  • Compliments Simply Romaine, 454 g, UPC 68820 10870, Best Before – (May 12 to 22, 2012) inclusive.
  • Compliments Harvest Romaine, 284 g, UPC 68820 10871, Best Before – (May 12 to 22, 2012) inclusive.
  • Compliments American Blend, 340 g, UPC 68820 10095, Best Before – (May 12 to 22, 2012) inclusive.
  • Compliments Coleslaw, 454 g, UPC 68820 10097, Best Before – (May 12 to 22, 2012) inclusive.
  • Compliments Garden Salad, 340 g, UPC 68820 12152, (May 12 to 22, 2012) inclusive.
  • Compliments Garden Salad, 680 g, UPC 68820 12153, Best Before – (May 12 to 22, 2012) inclusive.

         
In addition, in-store produced products containing lettuce such as salads, sandwiches or wraps purchased prior to May 19, 2012 from Sobeys stores in BC, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, and Sobeys, Price Chopper, or Foodland stores in Ontario should be discarded and not consumed.
