LOS ANGELES, CA (NEWS 1130) – Shane Doan scored both goals and Mike Smith stopped 36 shots to earn his third shutout of the playoffs as the Phoenix Coyotes blanked the LA Kings 2-0. LA still leads the series 3-1 with Game 5 on Tuesday.

Doan beat Jonathan Quick with a back handed shot on a power play with just under six minutes to go in the second period.

The Phoenix captain followed up with a goal from the top of the circle near the mid-way point of the middle period. The puck hit the camera inside of the net and quickly bounced out. The referees had to go to video review before allowing the goal.

The win ended an eight-game winning streak for LA which started with the Kings’ game-five victory over the Canucks at Rogers Arena.

LA still leads the series 3-1 and can become the Western Conference champions with a win in Phoenix on Tuesday night.
