LOS ANGELES, CA (NEWS1130) – The Los Angeles Kings will try and continue their playoff dominance as they look for a sweep of the Western Conference Final against the Phoenix Coyotes in Game 4.
The Kings have been the best team of the playoffs so far and have put together a record of 11-1. Los Angeles took a 3-0 series lead over Phoenix with a 2-1 victory in Game 3 on Thursday.
The Kings only loss of the post-season came in Game 4 of their first-round match-up with the Vancouver Canucks.
Kings’ forward Anze Kopitar says he and his teammates need to maintain the right mindset heading into the potential elimination game.
“Once you get caught looking ahead or back, you can get caught and start daydreaming I guess, and that’s obviously not very good.”
With a win Los Angeles will reach the Stanley Cup Final for the first time since 1993, when they lost to the Montreal Canadiens. The Kings franchise has never won a Stanley Cup.
Game time is 12 p.m.
