Speeder claims police pulled her over because she’s blonde

ABBOTSFORD (NEWS1130) – Bring on the blonde jokes.
A speeder in Abbotsford claims police are discriminating against her because of her hair colour.
Constable Ian MacDonald says officers don’t care if you are blonde, brunette, bald or blue. He says if you are going 114 kph in a 50 zone, you’ll likely be pulled over.
“Her response to her speeding was that she simply ‘punched it’ one time and that Abbotsford Police were discriminating against her because she is blonde,” explains MacDonald.
He feels if an officer can pick out the hair colour of a driver going that fast, the officer deserves to be commended.
“Safety is key, regardless of your hair colour.”
The speeder has already lost her car for seven days.
