BC Lions plaster Roughies in pre-season opener

VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – Probable back up quarterback Mike Reilly threw three touchdowns in two quarters of work as the Lions opened the pre-season with 44-10 trouncing of Saskatchewan. Nick Moore caught two of the TD’s.

Reilly finished with 189 yards passing, going 16 of 24. He also ran the ball seven times for 58 yards.

Travis Lulay played the first quarter and manufactured two drives that ended with Paul McCallum field goals. The CFL and Grey Cup MVP was seven for eleven for 72 yards passing.

Second year linebacker Adam Bighill had a 45 yard interception return for a touchdown in the third quarter.

It was the first game for Mike Benevides as the Lions Head Coach.

The Lions wrap up the pre-season on June 21 in Edmonton.
