VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – The Vancouver Canadians wrap up their five-game series with Tri-City Dust Devils at 1:05 p.m. at Nat Bailey Stadium.

After dropping the opener, first place Vancouver has won it’s last three games.

Right-handed hurler Javier Avendano heads to the hill for Vancouver against righty Ryan Arrowood of the Dust Devils. Avendano, from Venezuela, already has one win this season.

Fellow Venezuelan Balbino Fuenmayor leads Vancouver with the bat. In nine games, he has a .444 average with five doubles, three home runs and 15 RBIs.

The two clubs hope to avoid the elements for the finale. Friday’s game was halted after seven innings in a 1-0 C’s victory. The two clubs also sat for a 47-minute rain delay yesterday as Vancouver triumphed 7-4.

Vancouver and Everett share the lead at the top of the West Division of the Northwest League with 7-2 records. Every team in the West has a winning record, while Yakima leads the East with just four wins and five losses.

After today’s game, the C’s head to Everett for a three game set starting tomorrow.
