EVERETT, WA (NEWS1130) – The Vancouver Canadians finally found their offensive rhythm as they put up four runs in the ninth inning but it wasn’t enough. The C’s fell 6-5 to the Everett AquaSox for a second straight loss.

Vancouver got on the board with three straight singles with two outs in the top of the first inning as Nicholas Baligod came home to make it 1-0.

The AquaSox took the lead for good when they plated three runners on two hits in the fourth inning, giving them a 3-1 advantage.

Everett added to its lead with a single run in the sixth inning and two more in the eighth.

The Canadians finally got their bats going in the top of the ninth as they scored four runs, including two off of a Balbino Fuenmayor single, but they fell one run short of the comeback.

The win was the second in a row for the AquaSox (9-3) who took a one-game lead on Vancouver (8-4) at the top of the Northwest League standings.

Zack Breault (0-1) took the loss as he gave up three runs on one hit in three-and-a-third innings of work.

The two teams will wrap-up their three-game series tomorrow night.
