VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – The sun will be shining over Vancouver, there’s no reason not to get outside and enjoy all the city has to offer.

Come tour one of Vancouver’s most famous landmarks – The Grand Old Lady of Granville Street.  Every Saturday until the end of August, you can take a tour of the Orpheum Theatre and learn all about the theatre.  $10 gets you in and all proceeds go to the BC Entertainment Hall of Fame. Vancouver Police are putting on a women’s safety fair Saturday afternoon at the Trout Lake Community Centre. You will learn about personal safety, how to defend yourself and can speak with experts in the field of personal safety.

It’s a double-header roller derby Saturday night at Minoru Arena in Richmond.  The Bad Reputations take on the Taco Kickers Rollergirls, and Faster Pussycats take on the Doomsday Bunnies.

Check out the local-E BAZAAR Saturday at the Biltmore.  You can check out fashion, art, jewellery and vintage items from local designers.

Come out to Steamship Days at Snug Cove on Bowen Island starting Saturday and look back to the days when steamships plied our waters.  There will also be a night train, exhibits, antique cars, a golf tourney and lots of good food and music.

It’s Wreck Beach day on Saturday.  Come out to the 31st annual celebration where there will be nude sandcastle building, nude kite flying, body painting and an art show.

The Sunrise Summer Kickoff is on Saturday at Sunrise Square on Franklin.  Come and enjoy a day of music, live performances, street hockey, a carnival and food.  And best of all, it’s all free.

There’s no charge to come see the exotic reptile show Saturday at the Richmond Nature Park.  It’s a  hands-on, all-ages show.

It’s time once again for the 17 annual Sea to Sky Trail Challenge Sunday.  The 60 kilometre mountain biking event between Whistler and Squamish is open to all ages.  Just make sure you have mountain biking experience.

KD Lang plays the Commodore Ballroom Sunday night at 8:30 p.m.

The BC Supermoto is on all day on Sunday at the Tradex in Abbotsford.

Come out to Theatre Under the Stars  Saturday night at Malkin Bowl for a presentation of Titanic.

Come to Splish Splash Sunday at Lumberman’s Arch Water Park and check out Stanley Park‘s intertidal zone today and the creatures that live there and learn how they’ve been able to adapt and live there for so long.

Drop by Heritage Hall on Main on Sunday for Vancouver Comic Con.  Bring a new or gently used comic and you’ll get in for free and all those books collected will be donated to schools around Vancouver. Call 604-322-6412 for more details.

Check out the Key West Ford Show & Shine Sunday on Columbia Street in New Westminster.  There will be more than 300 classic cars to enjoy, motorcycles, live entertainment and food.  And it’s all free.
