UPDATE – Dawson Creek RCMP say Kendra Wetherhill and her two-year-old son Zane Redwood have been found.

DAWSON CREEK (NEWS1130) – A family in northern BC is getting desperate to hear from a young mom and her toddler. The two have been missing for over a week.

Family approached the Dawson Creek RCMP detachment a few days ago, to say 20-year-old Kendra Lynn Wetherill and her two-year-old son Zane Redwood are missing.

RCMP Cst. Lesley Smith says it’s unusual for her not to contact family for such a long period of time.

“They haven’t heard from her in a week or two. We’re hoping Kendra hears this message, and contacts her family to say she’s OK,” explains Smith.

Kendra is five foot three, about 150 pounds and has brown hair and brown eyes. Little Zane also has brown eyes and brown hair.

It doesn’t appear that Kendra had access to a car.

If you think you’ve seen them, you can call police.
