BC Coroners Service identifies landslide victims

VICTORIA (NEWS1130) – The BC Coroners Service is confirming the identities of the two people recovered after the Johnsons Landing mudslide.
The body of the man recovered on July 15 is 60-year-old Valentine Webber. The young woman found the next day was that of his 22-year-old daughter Diana.
Both were residents of Johnsons Landing.
The identities were confirmed through visual and dental exams.
Mr. Webber and his daughter were two of four people reported missing after the huge mudslide in Johnsons Landing on the morning of July 12.
After six full days of intensive searching, the bodies of Diana’s younger sister, Rachel,17, and of German national Petra Frehse, 64, were not found.
