VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – Expect some colourful sunsets over the next few days, thanks to that haze up against the North Shore mountains.
Metro Vancouver Air Quality planner Julie Saxton says it’s all because of more forest fires in other countries.
‘We can see the forecast out for a few days and that seems to indicate it’s certainly going to be hanging around. It can be very variable so some days will look worse than others, and we don’t know when the fires are going to be out on the other side of the Pacific.”
Smoke from Russian fires has been affecting BC air since mid-July. The hazy air shouldn’t cause any breathing problems.
