VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – Animal cruelty charges are being recommended against a man accused of beating a German Shepherd and leaving him in a dumpster in Vancouver last week.
The dog died the next day.
The recommendations from the SPCA’s animal cruelty investigators will go to the Crown’s office; it will be up to the Crown to decide whether charges will be laid in this case.
Since the man hasn’t been charged yet, his name isn’t being released.
There’s been an overwhelming outpouring of support for ‘Captain.’ More than 200 people attended a vigil for him earlier this week.
