Canada into quarter-finals after draw with Sweden

LONDON, ENGLAND (NEWS1130) – Melissa Tancredi scored once in each half to earn Canada a 2-2 tie with Sweden. The draw is enough to move Canada into the quarter-finals. Canada fell behind after two first-half Swedish goals.

In the 84th minute, forward Christine Sinclair bent a beautiful cross into the box that both Tancredi and substitute Kaylyn Kyle made runs on towards the Swedish goal. Tancredi ended up getting the final touch on the ball to pull Canada even in the contest.
