VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – Christy Clark’s handlers are hitting back at accusations she isn’t spending your money wisely.
Mike Morton with the Premier’s Office tells News1130 there are some very good reasons behind the beefy tab.
“Two trips to Asia, one which is the biggest in, I believe, BC’s history. And we hosted two premiers’ conferences, which were fairly significant, not unlike the premiers’ conference last week in Halifax,” lists Morton.
“These are all audited; these are a part of the public accounts. This is a totally separate matter from what took place last week with the Legislative Assembly; that falls under a totally different category,” he clarifies.
Documents reveal Clark’s credit card bill was $475,000 last year, which is more than double what her predecessor Gordon Campbell spent annually.
