TRONTO (NEWS1130) – The BC Lions tripped the Toronto Argonauts 18-9 in the season’s first edition of the Braley Bowl.
Travis Lulay completed 17 passes for a total of 194 yards. One pass connected with Akeem Foster in the end zone in the first quarter, giving Lulay 17 straight games with a TD pass.
Ricky Ray was sacked four times and threw three interceptions as the Lions defence was dominant in the victory.
The Lions head into a bye week with two straight victories.
They host the Saskatchewan Roughriders August 19, at 4 p.m. PST.
