VICTORIA (NEWS1130) – A Vancouver Island woman has been severely injured after being bitten on the face during a domestic dispute.
    
Police say the 57-year-old Victoria woman was attacked Thursday afternoon at a home in the city.
    
She was rushed to hospital with injuries described as serious but not life-threatening.
    
Her alleged attacker, a 22-year-old woman, was arrested a short time later, not far from the scene.
    
She is now facing several charges, including assault causing bodily harm.
    
Investigators say alcohol played a major role in the incident.
