VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – Vancouver police are asking the public for help in finding a missing woman.
Marie Shara Kematch, who also goes by Marie Shara Barnes, was last seen Sunday at her house in the 1100 block E 12th Ave in the early afternoon.
The 24-year-old may be emotionally distressed and there is concern that she may try to harm herself.
She’s described as Aboriginal, 5′ 6″, 170 lbs, with a heavy build and short dark brown hair. She may be wearing either a red or blue shirt with baggy black shorts and flip-flop sandals.
Police say she may be travelling on or in the area of the Coquihalla Highway, as she may have stopped for gas in Merritt just before 6 p.m. yesterday.
It’s not known where Kematch may have travelled from Merritt. She is likely driving a grey 2007 Honda Civic 4-door sedan bearing B.C. license plate 002-ENS.
Anyone who sees her is asked to call 911 and wait with her until police and ambulance arrive.
