LOWER MAINLAND (NEWS1130) – Yesterday was a hot one, but the mercury is expected to go higher today.
“It was 31.9 degrees in White Rock yesterday afternoon. That’s not only unseasonably hot; that number actually eclipsed the all-time high for the date, which had been up on the wall of fame since August 16th, 1931,” explains News1130 Meteorologist Russ Lacate.
“It’s going to be a close-call for both today and again tomorrow afternoon. We’ve got the same dome of high pressure anchored overhead,” he tells us.
“It’s a very strong mid-August sunshine and the temperature will climb into the low to mid-30s for all areas except right along the beaches,” explains Lacate.
