Some pre-cut vegetables are being recalled over a concern about Listeria contamination.

The recall affects several flavours of the Pure Flavor brand “Freshly Cut Grillers,” produced by Leamington-based Pure Hothouse Foods and distributed across Ontario.

The affected products include Freshly Cut Grillers sold in 14 oz / 400 g trays with the Use By dates of August 11, 2012 through August 26, 2012.

Flavours include the premium medley, asparagus blend, rustic blend and steak topper trays.

Product UPC:

Premium Medley 6 84924 06001 4
Asparagus Blend 6 84924 06012 0
Rustic Blend 6 84924 06003 8

There have been no reported illnesses associated with the consumption of the products so far.

Foods infected with listeria may not appear or smell contaminated, but the bacteria can cause listeriosis which can be a dangerous illness.
