Still no arrests one year after Jonathan Bacon’s death

KELOWNA (NEWS1130) – It’s now been a year since gangster Jonathan Bacon was gunned down in front of a ritzy hotel and casino in Kelowna, and still, there have been no arrests in the case.

The Combined Forces Special Enforcement Unit isn’t doing interviews about Bacon’s death. All they will say is that the investigation is progressing.

Bacon was in a White Porsche Cayenne with two other men with gang links and two young women when he was killed. Everyone in the vehicle was hit by the gunfire.

Police are also not talking about where the tension level is for rival gangs in Metro Vancouver.

Some major players in the drug trade have been gunned down since Bacon’s death.

Longtime gangster Sandip “Dip” Duhre was shot dead at a fancy restaurant in downtown Vancouver in January. A few months later Thomas Gisby and Ranjit Cheema were killed over the span of a couple of days in Mexico and Vancouver, respectively.

No arrests have been made in those cases either.
