WILLIAMSPORT, PA (NEWS1130) The Hastings Community All-Stars representing Canada have been eliminated from the Little League World Series with a 4-3 loss to Curacao.
The Canadians seemed to be in control after Noah Hanson-Stafford’s home run put Canada up 3-1, but the Caribbean reps would rally with three runs in the 5th inning to take the lead for good.
The winning run for Curacao was a solo home run from Mychellon Jansen.
Canadian starting pitcher Cole Dalla-Zana was tagged with the loss but struck out nine batters in 5 1/3 innings.
It was the eighth-straight year that a team from BC has represented Canada at the tournament.
