VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – Get ready to see some big changes at your kid’s school – only if the provincial government listens to your advice.
How does a 9-to-5 school day sound to you?
Or maybe giving you the chance to evaluate your kid’s teacher?
Those are just two of the suggestions after the Ministry of Education asked for public comment on how the school system could be improved.
While some of the changes would be rather minor, there are other more fundamental suggestions including rethinking whether special needs students should remain in regular classes and streaming students into trades or academic programs.
The provincial government received more than 5,000 responses.
