MAPLE RIDGE (NEWS1130) – A 30-year-old man is in hospital in stable condition after getting shot at around 5 a.m.
Police have 225th and 116th avenue blocked off by yellow tape as they investigate.
Ridge Meadows RCMP say the details are sketchy.
“We’re still looking for any witnesses that may have heard something or seen something last night and our investigators are working to find out how the shooting happened and where it happened,” says Staff Sgt. Mike Battie.
Police haven’t identified the victim but say he is recovering.
“I believe he’s still in hospital, last time that I had an update he was in stable condition, but he was going to be going in for further assessment,” explains Battie.
So far no one has been arrested.
