KAMLOOPS (NEWS1130) – Most of you know what it feels like to deal with flight delays and cancellations but probably never experienced anything like this.

One cancer patient from Kamloops says she was left stranded in San Diego for three days because of problems with Air Canada.

It took four days for Dannie Cade to get from the California city to her home.

“We really felt like cattle in a holding pen,  nobody was saying a word to us, when they did it was convoluted truths or half truths,” she says.

She makes the trip to nearby Tijuana every month to get cancer treatment, but her return flight was pushed back three times because of mechanical troubles.

Cade ran out of medication but luckily it wasn’t serious.

“(What my doctor was) extremely concerned about was the amount of stress,  you know (he said) ‘You just finished going through a week of treatments and then bang, you find yourself in this sort of situation that you’re thrown into,’” she explains.

She says she’s still waiting to be compensated by the airline.

Air Canada has yet to respond to News1130′s request for an interview.
