(ABBOTSFORD) – A 13-year-old boy who had been missing for five days has been found in Abbotsford.
Police were concerned because he was spotted at a housing complex with a bloody t-shirt wrapped around his head last night. The people who live there tried to get him to stay, but he left before they could get him help for his injury.
Constable Ian MacDonald says the boy is being taken to the hospital for a medical exam.
“I would suggest that given we are doing the transport instead of bringing an ambulance to the scene that in all likelihood this will probably a non-life threatening and fairly superficial injury,” explains MacDonald.
“Obviously, we’ll receive more updates from the hospital later on,” he adds.
Police were encouraged when they saw the boy had been active on social media last night. He was found near Gladwin and Maclure Roads around 8 a.m. today.
