The Lions host the Argonauts Saturday afternoon at BC Place.

The River District Farmers Market begins at the Kerr Street Plaza on Saturday and runs every Saturday until the end of October.  There will be music, crafts, and of course, lots of fresh fruits and veggies.  Admission is free.

Mark the end of summer and beginning of fall at the Autumn Shift Festival on Saturday on Main between Broadway and 12th.  Come check out the more than 70 booths, live music and community fashion show.

Bring the kids out to Treefest on Saturday at Riverview Hospital in Coquitlam.  The festival includes lessons on trees, kids crafts and activities, live entertainment and tours of some of the heritage buildings on the Riverview grounds.  Admission is free.

It’s time once again for the annual Terry Fox Run. There are two happening in Vancouver on Sunday. One happens at Ceperly Park near Lost Lagoon; the second is at Camosun Park at 16th and Discovery at UBC.

It’s the second to last weekend to check out the 28th annual Vancouver International Fringe Festival at various venues in and around Granville Island.

Come out to the 7th annual BBQ at the Bypass in Langley on Sunday.  It’s billed as BC’s hottest BBQ competition and it’s all free. 

Bring your kids out to Arachnipalooza on Sunday at the Lost Lagoon Nature House to learn all about spiders, how they hunt, survive and how important they are to our ecosystem.
