OTTAWA, ON (NEWS1130) – Check your fridge or freezer for some potentially tainted ground beef if you shop at Costco, Safeway or Wal-Mart.

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency has recalled beef from XL Foods because it may be contaminated by E-Coli. The recall includes both patties and packages of ground beef.

If you are unsure if you have affected products, you’re asked to check with the store(s) where you bought them.
