MONTREAL, QC (NEWS1130) – Milos Raonic will be the star of the show for the Montreal Rendez-Vous tennis exhibition event next march. Raonic and rising star Genie Bouchard will take on undetermined opponents.

The event will be held on March 18th at the Bell Centre, the home of the NHL’s Montreal Canadiens.

Raonic is the highest ranked Canadian male in history at No. 15 in the world. The 21-year-old won both of his singles matches this past weekend to help Canada’s Davis Cup team earn a 4-1 victory over South Africa in Montreal.

The 18-year-old Bouchard is fresh off of winning the Wimbledon junior girls title.

While the other participants in the event are yet to be named, rumoured opponents for Raonic include France’s Jo-Wilfried Tsonga or Switzerland’s Roger Federer. Possible counterparts for Bouchard include Serena Williams and Maria Sharapova.

This will be the second year for the event. Last year’s edition featured retired legends Andre Agassi and Ivan Lendl.
