VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – Get active this  weekend with the Grouse Grind Run or the Spartan Race, or raise some money and awareness for people living with HIV and AIDS at the Scotiabank Aids Walk for Life.

The 22nd annual Grouse Grind Mountain Run is on Saturday.  Come out to mother nature’s stair master and see if you can beat last year’s winner.

Come help raise money for the White Rock South Surrey Hospice Society on Saturday at An Evening in Monte Carlo at the Five Corners Shopping District in White Rock.  It’s a casino night with live music and an auction.

If you’re in Squamish on Saturday check out the Spartan Race at Brennan Park Campground.  It’s a grueling 12 kilometre race with up to 350 people taking part.

It’s one of Canada’s top bird-watching sites and only an hour’s drive from Vancouver.  Come check out all the wildlife at the Reifel Sanctuary in Delta.

The Vancouver Orphan Kitten Rescue Association is hosting its Walk for the Kitties on Sunday at Jericho Beach.  The annual 5k walk raises money to help rescue cats on the Lower Mainland.
