MAPLE RIDGE (NEWS1130) – A person has been killed after being hit by a train in Maple Ridge.

“This is just off the Haney Bypass, about halfway through, around 227th Street. That’s where the incident happened; a train was eastbound. We’re hearing a pedestrian was struck through that area,” describes Kim Seale in the News1130 Air Patrol.

The accident forced the closure of the West Coast Express station at Port Haney this morning.
