VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) - Yet another human foot has been discovered off our shores. This time two fishermen discovered the foot still attached to a lower leg floating in False Creek Friday afternoon.
“We believe it to be a right foot, based on the fact that we have a right shoe. The foot is inside a runner. The brand is Crosby BUM. It’s a size nine, white and blue in colour,” explains Stephen Fonseca with the BC Coroners Service.
He says it is very similar to the shoe found on another human foot in August of last year. Those remains have yet to be linked to any missing person. It’s one of two cases out of the nine investigated locally that remain mysteries for investigators.
The leg is in an advanced stage of decomposition.
Fonseca says he’ll wait for tests to come in before announcing definitively whether these latest remains belonged to a man or a woman.
