NELSON (NEWS1130) – A four-year-old boy has died after an all-terrain vehicle accident west of Nelson.
RCMP say the child was riding with his father along a forest service road when the ATV hit a drainage ditch and flipped around 2 p.m. yesterday.
The vehicle landed on top of the pair, killing the boy and causing serious back and internal injuries to the 33-year-old driver.
Mounties say both were wearing helmets at the time.
Police and the BC Coroners Service are investigating.
