BURNABY (NEWS1130) – One worker is dead, another in hospital after an industrial accident at a work site in North Burnaby.
    
Megan Johnson with WorkSafeBC says it happened around 11 this morning.

“Two workers were in a trench laying pipe, and an existing concrete retaining wall collapsed on them.”

The pair were working for Surrey’s J.Cote & Son Excavating.
    
Johnson says a full investigation will be done. “We’ll be looking at all the factors that could have contributed to the incident. We’ll be looking at the condition of equipment, training, work plan, all of that.”

The condition of the other worker is not known.
