KABUL, AFGHANISTAN (NEWS1130) – It appears a Canadian may have been kidnapped in Afghanistan by Taliban gunmen, according to unconfirmed reports.

Reports suggest the man was with an American woman and they were on their way to Kabul when they were taken.

Foreign Affairs is aware of the news but hasn’t been able to confirm anything yet.

It’s not clear yet if either of them were injured.

Officials are investigating.

Canada does have a travel advisory warning people not to go to Afghanistan due to the danger facing foreigners.
