WHISTLER (NEWS1130) –     SKI Magazine has released its 26th annual readers poll, ranking 60 resorts across North America, and Whistler Blackcomb is rather pleased with the results. The resort has been ranked first overall.

The magazine got feedback from 20,000 readers and the poll is said to be the most comprehensive of its kind in the winter sports industry.

In a statement, President and COO at Whistler Blackcomb Dave Brownlie says it’s an incredible honour.

“SKI Magazine’s rankings come as very high accolades because they reflect the discerning views of skiers from across North America. Our consistent and reliable snowfall, and size and variety of our natural terrain combined with first-rate customer service make our guests’ experiences at Whistler Blackcomb one of the best in the industry,” writes Brownlie.

In the individual categories, Whistler ranked first for best Terrain Variety, second in Service, Lodging, Apres, Off Hill Activities and Digital Presence. It also placed in the top five resorts in numerous other categories.

Whistler Mountain and Blackcomb Mountain have over 200 marked runs, over 8,000 acres of terrain and 14 alpine bowls.
