PORT COQUITLAM (NEWS1130) – A judge has ruled there will not be a mistrial for Dennis Warrington.
He’s accused of posting naked pictures of a 16-year-old who claims she was sexually assaulted at a rave in Pitt Meadows in 2010.
The motion for a mistrial was filed by Warrington’s lawyers after Crown asked for larger and better monitors to be used in court to show the photos. Defence argued they’ve already questioned witnesses using the other equipment and the pictures are going to be used in making crucial identifications.
The judge noted there is plenty of time to recall witnesses and continue with the trial, but did recognize the concerns of the defence were legitimate.
The complainant in the case is set to testify next month now that the case can resume.
Warrington is now the only person charged with possessing and distributing child porn after another accused had his charges stayed.

Pushes for a mistrial then pleads guilty and tries to apologize for what he did while his friends continue to slander, harrass and even threatened the victim.
Where is our justice system? Where are victim rights, especially those to be free from intimidation and harassment
His friends were posting vicious garbage about the victim on Twitter even while his trial was in session and he was making his “apology”. And let’s be clear, these weren’t friends of the guy charged with rape but with widely distributing child porn that his friends were defending. many of who encouraged him to do so and even did so themselves. Their attacks were clearly aimed at causing the victim further harm and to disrupt the trial as was the case with Colton McMorris’ friends who also used social media to disrupt the investigation , intimidate witnesses and to try to force the victim to drop the claim of rape.
A dark cloud will hang over Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows for a very long time and it isn’t getting any better.
