SURREY (NEWS1130) – How we treat the most vulnerable people in our community is a measure of our humanity. The staff and volunteers at the South Fraser Community Services Society prove that every day.

Now, they want you to know what they do and join them as they celebrate their re-branding with an evening filled with world music, performing arts, auction items, drinks, and a delicious multi-ethnic dinner.

The focus of the re-branding is all about creating a name that will better represent the primary agency functions for clients and members they serve. The change will help them reinforce this positive view pertaining to issues of Health and Homelessness Services in the Central Surrey and the surrounding areas.

The new name will be unveiled at the Viceroy Banquet Hall in Surrey tomorrow night.

You are invited to enjoy an evening of amazing entertainment from groups like The Central City Jazz Band, The Pompadoors, and a Flamenco Guitarist accompanied by a Cuban Percussionist.  Also on tap are Salsa and Bhangra Dancers as well as the West Coast Contortionist Group.

The idea is to join this worthy event, enjoy great food and entertainment, meet some of the community’s most dedicated people, or just relax knowing that you are making Surrey a better place to live.

SFCSS’ major programs include Homeless Services, Bread4Life community kitchen, and shelter services for men and women.

Their Front Room Drop-in Centre is open 24/7, 365 days a year and their Housing program has housed over 1,250 people since 2008 with a 75 per cent retention rate.
