TORONTO (NEWS1130) - The CFL has announced its 2012 East and West Division All-Stars and the BC Lions dominate the West Division with ten players.
On offence, quarterback Travis Lulay leads the West All-Star selections for a second straight year and is joined by running back Andrew Harris, who earns his first selection after a standout year running the football.
Centre Angus Reid, along with offensive linemen Ben Archibald and Jovan Olafioye round out the offensive selections for BC. Reid makes the squad for a third time while Archibald has his fourth overall selection. For Olafioye, it is the third year in a row he has been named a CFL All-Star.
BC has four defensive players on the squad, including defensive back Korey Banks who earns his seventh consecutive spot and CFL sack leader Keron Williams, who has now been named to four All-Star teams including two East Division teams..
Linebacker Adam Bighill, who led the Lions in tackles this season, defensive back Ryan Phillips and speedy kick returner Tim Brown also made the team.
The Lions returned to practice today, beginning preparations for their November 18th CFL West Final at BC Place. The Lions will play the winner of Sunday’s Saskatchewan/Calgary CFL West Semi-Final.
