No progress in latest round of NHL labour talks

NEW YORK, NY – There was zero progress made in the latest round of NHL labour talks.

After a one-day break following a series of formal discussions, the sides got back to business, and it was over in less than 90 minutes.

The discussions centred solely on player-contract issues, and the Players’ Association says the NHL is refusing to budge on their proposals.

As executive director Donald Fehr put it, “The owners made it clear there is no give with respect to their proposals unless the players are willing to take them down to the comma.”
