Giants try for third straight win

By

EVERETT, WA (NEWS1130) – The Vancouver Giants have rattled off back-to-back wins for the first time this season and they’ll try and make it three-in-a-row tonight as they’ll visit the Everett Silvertips.

The Giants earned their second straight shootout victory last night, as they edged the Regina Pats 4-3. Kale Kessy had a pair of goals in the victory.

Vancouver will be playing just its second game since finding out that leading scorer Marek Tvrdon has been lost for the season because of a blod clot. Jackson Houck is second on the teams’ points list, with 20 in 20 games.

The Giants currently sit fifth in the five-team B.C. Division, three points back of the Prince George Cougars. Vancouver has one game in hand.

The Silvertips are also a team that’s struggling. They have one win in their past nine games and are last in the U.S. Division.

Following tonight’s game, the Giants will return home to host the Saskatoon Blades tomorrow.

Puck drop is at 7:05 p.m.
