ISRAEL-Israel says it staged almost 200 airstrikes against Hamas targets in Gaza Saturday morning.
Among the targets were rocket launchers, power transformers, Hamas headquarters, and the home of a Hamas commander.
Israel raised the stakes one day after an unprecedented Hamas rocket attack against Jerusalem.
Since the fighting began last Wednesday, 39 Palestinians and three Israelis have been killed.
