TSAWWASSEN (NEWS1130) – It’s probably going to be an unusually busy Monday on BC Ferries today after yesterday’s wind storm.

“We cancelled about 42 sailings throughout the fleet on many different runs yesterday due to the high winds. So, there’s probably a bit of a backlog of traffic from customers who had wanted to travel yesterday. So, we do expect to be busy today,” explains Deb Marshall with BC Ferries.

She adds the forecast still doesn’t look good. “We are expecting high winds all week… in different areas of the coast.”

“I would expect we may see further service interruptions. So, it’s a good idea to check in advance before you head out to any of the terminals,” says Marshall.
