JAPAN (NEWS1130) – A strong earthquake has hit northeastern Japan.

The Japan Meteorological Agency says it was a 7.3-magnitude shaker. A tsunami warning was issued, but has since been lifted.

Evacuations have been ordered from some of the affected areas. There are no injuries or deaths reported

In March of 2011, a 9.0 magnitude quake hit the country’s northeastern coast, leaving upwards of 20,000 dead or missing.
