EVERETT, WA (NEWS1130) – Trent Lofthouse of Surrey scored the final three goals for the Silvertips as they dropped Vancouver 4-1 in the WHL. Right winger Tanner Moar scored the only Giants goal in the second period.

The teams were level 0-0 after the first period.

The ‘Tips opened the scoring on the power play 45 seconds into the second period. Lofthouse’s first of the evening came right before the middle frame was five minutes old.

Moars’ second of the season came five minutes into the third period.

Lofthouse scored his eighth of the season two minutes later, before finishing off his hat trick at 11:21 of the final period.

The Giants were outshot 30-21.

Vancouver goalie Liam Liston has one win in 11 games played this season.

In two losses this weekend, Don Hay’s squad only has a pair of goals.

The top team in the BC Division, the Kamloops Blazers will be at the Pacific Coliseum on Sunday afternoon to meet the Giants.
