ROSEMONT, IL (NEWS1130) – Darren Archibald had two goals and Wolves teammate Chris Tanev had two assists as the Canucks top farm team held off Hamilton in the AHL 4-3. Chicago has three wins in four starts in December.
Archibald opened the scoring with 16 seconds left in the first period.
He doubled his game total and potted his fourth of the season on the power play midway through the second period.
Darren Haydar scored 85 seconds into the third period to give Chicago a 3-0 advantage.
After Hamilton’s Joonas Nattinen made it 3-1 at 6:14, the Wolves’ Peter Andersson potted the game winning goal 45 seconds later.
The Bulldogs scored two more times to make it close.
Former Vancouver Giants captain Brendan Gallagher had an assist for the visitors.
Matt Climie made 34 saves to get the win in the Chicago goal.
