SURREY (NEWS1130) – More information is coming to light related to a crash that killed Cst. Adrian Oliver in Surrey last month.

It looks as though the 28-year-old Mountie was at fault.
The investigation so far is suggesting that Oliver was speeding and did not have his lights or siren activated.

He was on the hunt for a stolen pickup truck when he rammed into a tractor trailer at 148 St. and 64 Ave. in Surrey at around 5 a.m., Nov. 13.

Police say a GPS system and video evidence have been instrumental in helping them determine what happened, but they’re not saying where this video evidence comes from.

Oliver was only 28, and thousands came out to his regimental funeral.

The semi-truck driver was not hurt.
