SURREY (NEWS1130) – An eight-year-old Surrey girl is in hospital after being hit by a car.
    
It happened around 6 p.m. last night at 74th Avenue and 140th Street.
    
Witnesses say she was crossing on a green light when she was struck by a car turning left.
    
Surrey RCMP say the young girl suffered non-life threatening injuries.

The driver stayed at the scene and spoke with police.
