VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – Three men have been handed prison time after a fatal swarming outside a Vancouver nightclub.
Tyson Edwards was punched, kicked and fatally stabbed. The deadly assault happened as Edwards, 21, was leaving the former Richards on Richards club in February, 2009.
The judge says Edwards was unable to defend himself as he was swarmed and then kicked while he was on the ground. Afterwards, it was discovered he had also been stabbed.
It’s unclear who stabbed Edwards, but three men were convicted of manslaughter.
Patrick Avery Plowman, 33, and Nolan Swallow, 32, were given seven years in prison. Sebastian Lucas Miazga, 27, was given five years.
A fourth man charged in the attack, Kalum Cain, was acquitted after trial.

Disgusting sentence!!! The joke of our “justice” system just goes on and on!!
P.S. Hate this new format on news 1130 website????
Nolan Swallow sure is gonna be popular in jail.
Thanks to NDP laws and judges, the killers will not spend life behind bars
Once again the Canadian “justice” system shows us what a life is worth in Canada. Only when a judge is kidnapped and slaughtered like an animal will we see tougher penalties.
Another sad example of our pathetically weak justice system! In the states these lowlife scumbags would be deaths row candidates! Here, they get a sentence comparable to white collar crime. I am surprised we don’t have more vigilantism in Canada. Same goes for the loser who sucker punched that gentleman who later died. He got 3 years. Pathetic and cowardly judges who hide behind “legal precedents”. Why not set one for a change ???
